midtown's Events/Awareness Chair, Julian Mathis, is owner of Julian Mathis Interior Design. A talented, creative, designer, he has lived in the midtown area for 18 years. He happily co-exists with his residence and business conveniently located at 1123 Thomasville Road in midtown.

A successful 27- year experienced designer, Julian's projects include The Grady Market in historic Apalachicola, Florida; Southeastern Plastic Surgery Center; Southern Strategy; and many more businesses and residences throughout the Tallahassee area. He has received the Best of Tallahassee Award for best Interior Designer three times: 2001, 2003; and 2004.

As a founding member of the midtown merchants association and Board, Julian is a major player in the development of the organization. His ardent support is an indication of his desire to help the organization grow and to create awareness of midtown as a destination. His role is vital in keeping the community at large aware of the happenings of midtown.
